What is NXT FB?

NXT FB is a national, merit-based youth flag football club organization. We provide structured, professional-level athletic development with a 100-point weekly evaluation system, tiered placement, and a clear advancement pathway.

What age groups do you serve?

Boys: U5, U7, U9, U11, U13. Girls: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19. All skill levels are welcome — your tier placement is determined by your tryout evaluation.

How do tryouts work?

Athletes apply online, attend a tryout in their city, and are evaluated on the NXT 100-point system across five categories: Effort, Assignment Execution, Football IQ, Athletic Metrics, and Competitive Production. Evaluations are returned within 48 hours.

Is registration open to everyone?

Tryouts are open to everyone. Registration is invite-only. Athletes must meet the performance standard at tryouts to receive a registration invitation for the upcoming season.

How much does it cost?

NXT operates on seasonal club dues collected per athlete, per season. Specific pricing is provided upon registration invitation. All registration is handled through LeagueApps.

What cities are you in?

NXT currently operates in DFW, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Charlotte, and Nashville. Each city runs under the same national standard.

How does the tier system work?

Athletes are placed into Development (65–79), Club (80–89), or Elite (90+) tiers based on their 4-week rolling average score. Promotion is automatic when earned. Relegation is handled privately.

Are coaches volunteers?

No. NXT coaches are certified, compensated professionals. All coaches complete the NXT certification program, pass background checks, and are held to the same performance standards as athletes.

What league does NXT compete in?

NXT competes in the Blitz Academy League (BAL) and select national tournaments. Our competition calendar ensures athletes face quality opponents at every tier level.
